Keiji Tsuruno lives and works in Mashiko, Tochigi prefecture where has lots of creative potters. He digs soil and makes his own clay for his ceramic works. He uses a kicking wheel and wood kiln.

This guinomi (sake cup) shows the beauty of these processes and techniques. The cracks and stream of the surface are beautiful result of transformation in the kiln with straw ash glaze.
