Born in 1979. After studying Japanese painting (nihonga), Tomoya Numata started learning pottery under a Japanese potter, Mr. Isao Tanaka. In 2012, he graduated from a pottery school in Seto, Japan. Now he lives and works in his hometown, Ibaraki prefecture.

One of Numata’s backgrounds, nihonga painting provides uniqueness to his works. Also his keen ability to a detail and shape turns into his exquisite works.
