Set of two guinomis (sake cups) by Shikamaru Takeshita

Shikamaru Takeshita lives and works in Mashiko where has many independent ceramic artists. He digs the local soil by himself and uses his pottery kiln to fire his works for about a week. His works are woodfired without glaze. As a result, rough surfaces that created by quality of the local cray and natural glaze from ash, show ample beauty.

Because of the handmade nature of this product, each guinomi (sake cup) is unique and may vary in measurements and color. One of the two has artist’s logo on the bottom.
